LITTLE FALLS, NY – Burrows Paper Corporation is proud to be a part of the local celebration that has brightened the community for 23 years — the Little Falls Canal Celebration.
Burrows’ President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Lengvarsky said that Burrows is pleased to be involved with this family-friendly summer staple.
“Every year the community comes together for quality, family-friendly entertainment,” Lengvarsky said. “By supporting the Canal Celebration, we have an opportunity to help provide a wonderful event to our employees and our neighbors.”
Burrows will also co-sponsor a special performance of The Mario DeSantis Band & Orchestra. The performance, held in conjunction with the Canal Celebration, will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15 in Eastern Park.
This year, Burrows is also sponsoring a team to participate in the first annual Curves of Little Falls Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk on Aug. 12. The company will donate the entry fee for employees and support their participation with a monetary donation to the cause. All the funds raised during this walk remain in the area to educate and assist families in the fight against breast cancer.
“Burrows is happy to support its employees and the charitable causes they are committed to,” Lengvarsky explained. “We are proud to see them work together to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.”
The 5K walk will start at 6 p.m. from Curves on East Main Street. The Little Falls Canal Celebration will take place from Aug. 11 through 15 throughout the city, with family-friendly activities, including a parade, live entertainment, arts and crafts, rides, art shows, and a gala fireworks display.
